Will I receive new trash and recycling carts?

Coastal Waste & Recycling will deliver one blue 65-gallon recycling cart  and one green 95-gallon trash cart to each home within the city limits starting on October 15. The process will take several weeks to complete, so please be patient if your neighbor receives their new cart and you have not yet received yours.

  • Blue recycle cart distribution will begin on October 15.
  • Green garbage cart distribution will begin on November 12.

What do I do with my old carts?

The recovery process will begin immediately once new carts are distributed. Please start using your new carts as soon as you receive them. Leave your old carts out on the curb (empty of material) until retrieved. Cart pick-up can take up to 1 to 3 days after your new carts are delivered. City Code Enforcement is aware of the transition, and you will not be cited.

Do I have to get a new trash cart?

Yes, all the new carts will be delivered within an 8 week process. Upon receipt you must begin to use them. After the distribution process of new cart deliveries, Coastal will no longer service old carts and will only be servicing the new carts.

Who do I contact if my new cart is damaged?

Please contact Coastal Waste & Recycling at 954-866-4738 and advise of the issue. They will assist you in replacing your damaged cart.

What happens if my cart is stolen or missing?

Please submit a request for replacement via portal, or call 954-866-4738, or email coralsprings@coastalwasteinc.com.

Will there be a disruption of service?

We do not anticipate any disruption of service due to the change in providers.

Are my service days changing?

To improve service efficiency, some residents might see changes in their trash and recycling pick-up schedules. Kindly review the maps provided to determine the designated pickup days for garbage and recycling in your area.

Why have my pickup times changed?

Your collection time may not be consistent every day. The schedule for collections time will be influenced by traffic conditions, the amount of material being collected, and potential alterations in routes. You may miss your pick-up if your container is not out by 7:00 a.m. on your assigned pick-up day. The container cannot be emptied if it is not outside by the given time and placed correctly at the edge of the street with the handle facing your house.

Can I put additional garbage next to my cart?

You can't place additional trash outside of the carts. All trash must be in the cart with the lid closed to ensure servicing
